Basic Information:
- Applicants:
Open to all ages, all nationalities, and all ethnic backgrounds
- Requirement:
Must contain Korean theme, as captured by melody, rhythm, or both
- Composition for Instruments:
- Solo for piano or
- violin with or without piano accompaniment
- viola with or without piano accompaniment
- cello with or without piano accompaniment
- Music length: playing time must be 5 minutes or less.
- Must be suitable for performance by pre-college students at the Sejong Music competition.
Selected pieces will be used for Senior (14-18 years) division competition or Junior (13 years and under) division competition .
- Deadline for submission: June 30, 2005
- Prizes:
- First prize: $1,000
- Second prize: $700
- Third prize: $500
- Honorable Mention: $100
