"Introduction of Korean Sijo" -
Sejong Cultural Society invited David McCann, Professor, Harvard University, hosted a sijo lecture and a sijo reading
On April 9th, Sejong Cultural Society and UIC English Department co-sponsored sijo writing workshop for English teachers. On April 10th, a sijo lecture was given at the Harold Washington Library in Chicago downtown introducing Korean sijo to the general public. Also Sejong Cultural Society hosted a sijo reading event with arts, wine and piri performances at the Andrew Bae Gallery in downtown Chicago. All of these events were taped by KBS and will be broadcast in Korea KBS2TV on April 14 during "Live Broadcast - Work Now" program between 12:15 am - 12:45 am and during "Live Broadcast - Today" program between 6:30 am - 8 am.
