Mr. Rim, president of Goldman Products, who has been applauded for his generous contribution of $10,000 to the Korean Cultural Center building fund contributed $1,500 worth US savings bonds to the Sejong Writing Competition as additional scholarship awards to the winners. Each of the 6 winners will be receiving $250 savings bond in addition to the competition prize money. For more than 12 years, Mr. Rim has been awarding scholarships to the winners of the English Essay Competitions on the subjects related to the Pacific, Asian Culture. Mr. Rim decided to give scholarships to the Sejong Writing Competition as the competition provides opportunity to find young students with talents in writing and to promote Korean heritage among the pre-college students by writing on the topics related to Korea. Mr. Rim said, "I want to be a help, even it is small, in providing an opportunity for the young Americans to understand Korean culture."
