In this video, teacher Elizabeth Jorgensen introduces elementary school students to sijo, a Korean form of poetry. In this lesson, students prepare to write a sijo poem by coming up with a topic, setting, character, purpose and twist. Students then share sijo ideas and receive feedback from classmates. Finally, students use a worksheet to form ideas into the three-line structure.
