Tabby Rhee is a 6th grader from Brookfield, Wisconsin. Born in New York City, she started her violin studies at age 5. Tabby made her first orchestral debut at age 7 winning the Bach Double Competition and performing side by side with The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (MSO). She was the youngest ever to win this competition and subsequently won for 2 more consecutive years. In 2007, Tabby was the runner-up of The Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) Concerto Competition where she had the opportunity to perform solo with the Orchestra. In 2008, she was a finalist of the same competition. As a member of the MYSO Senior Symphony at age 11, she once again made history being the youngest member of the Orchestra. Currently, Tabby is a Merit Scholarship recipient and member of Music Institute of Chicago’s Junior Academy program where she studies with Hye-Sun Lee. |
